HAVE YOU ALWAYS BEEN INTO SPORTS? IF SO WHAT DID YOU PLAY, EVENTS YOU DONE, FITNESS ROUTINES YOU HAVE TRIED?
I played sports all throughout school, football, soccer and baseball. I would have to say soccer was my favorite though! After school I’ve done a few 5ks and fun runs but nothing major. I found CFW in 2010 and have been hooked since then (even though I took a few years off).
BIGGEST CF ACCOMPLISHMENT?
Honestly, it came recently when I FINALLY hit my goal weight of 200 lbs. I actually dropped under it without even knowing! It’s been a goal of mine for years now, always got close but never could get under it til BCCF and the great family we have here pushed me in just the right ways! And with that being said, THANKS TO EVERYONE! Especially to Cayla for pushing me to get back in the box!!!
CF GOAL FOR THE FUTURE?
I would like to push myself and get into a comp for the first time just to see how I would do. I’m sure the 5:30p crew will get me there!
FAVORITE PAST TIME?
I would have to say anything outdoors! Love riding my Harley on great weather days, hiking trails, taking the bicycle out for a few miles, or floating the river on a hot summer day! You name it, if it’s outside I’m probably down to do it.
FAVORITE CHEAT MEAL?
Do I have to pick just one? I would have to go with sushi! Of course the cold “drinks” that would accompany it also!
WHAT WOULD YOU TELL SOMEONE WHO IS SCARED TO TRY CROSS FIT?
There’s no reason to be scared! Literally ANYONE can do it! No you might not be able to lift as much as the athletes that you see on the games, but when they first started they couldn’t lift that much either! I love playing sports, but I know I can’t do what the pros do and that doesn’t stop me from playing them. All it takes is an open mind and self motivation to get in here and get started. The strength and stamina will be built with every WOD you get through!
