HAVE YOU ALWAYS BEEN INTO SPORTS? IF SO
WHAT DID YOU PLAY, EVENTS YOU HAVE DONE, FITNESS ROUTINES YOU HAVE TRIED?

Yes, I have always been into sports. I played multiple sports growing up: basketball, track, volleyball, and soccer. My favorite and number one sport was volleyball . I have always enjoyed working out and fitness in a team setting. I decided not to play volleyball in college; which forced me to figure out how to workout and stay motivated on my own. That is where I came to love running. I ran almost every day and did many races: 5ks, 10ks, and half marathons. My last year in college is when I was introduced Crossfit and began going to a little “soccer moms” crossfit class and I loved it!

BIGGEST CF ACCOMPLISHMENT?

Never giving into the temptation of RXing my power snatch….and pull-ups and pushups have gotten a lot easier.

CF GOAL FOR THE FUTURE?

Eventually be able to wakeup at 4 so I can go to the Crossfit Endurance class…..and at least try to go RX 3 out of 4 days.

Favorite Pasttime?

-Napping…preferably at least 90 minutes. -Hanging out with Boomer (my hot husband who is good at everything…shoutout!) -Cooking or grocery shopping -Running or swimming -Traveling -Laying out

FAVORITE CHEAT MEAL?

ALOT of chips and salsa…and homemade pound cake batter. Vanilla.

WHAT WOULD YOU TELL SOMEONE WHO IS SCARED TO TRY CROSS FIT?

I am scared too. I don’t want to have to give up my size small tank tops. I suppose shoulders are worth it. Also I would say that it feels good to be strong. You don’t have to go balls to the walls all the time. Just try it and once you feel stronger you can push yourself more. It is a process! Buffalo Creek is also a great place to try it because you don’t feel intimidated if you aren’t wearing Lululemon. Don’t get my wrong, Lululemon is great. But most Crossfit places are pretty Lululemon clicky; if you aren’t wearing it then you aren’t cool. BCCF is different and the people are nice, inviting, and actually fun to hangout with. I love it!
