HAVE YOU ALWAYS BEEN INTO SPORTS?
IF SO WHAT DID YOU PLAY, EVENTS YOU HAVE DONE, FITNESS ROUTINES YOU HAVE TRIED?

Have you always been into sports? If so what did(do) you play, events you have done, fitness routines you have tried?  Growing up I enjoyed playing soccer,  volleyball ,and track ( yes, I enjoyed running in my youth),hunting and fishing. I also enjoyed other girlie things like, ballet, gymnastics, cheerleading, and volleyball. I have always enjoyed being active.

I never liked going to a gym and working out because I didn’t know what to do and I had this weird feeling people were watching me. So thankful I found CrossFit.

BIGGEST CF ACCOMPLISHMENT?

My most memorable accomplishment was getting a HSPU in the CrossFit Open in 2015.   I think getting PR’s are big accomplishments as well. I am the kind of person that enjoys having fun, not competitive type.  So when I show up and work out that makes my soul happy! Plus , I get to see all my friends at the gym!

CF GOAL FOR THE FUTURE?

Butterfly pull ups and consecutive bar muscle ups. I can do a few of these, however, I want to be able to do them unbroken, but I am  getting old . LOL

 Favorite Pastime?

I love scrapbooking and being outdoors. I also like to volunteer and give back to our community, and  I love  how CrossFit is really big on community support.

FAVORITE CHEAT MEAL?

Chili relleno stuffed with meat topped with cheese and sour cream,  and rice and beans on the side, from Tomatoes Restaurant. Oh man it’s so good.

WHAT WOULD YOU TELL SOMEONE WHO IS SCARED TO TRY CROSSFIT?

I have always been taught to at least try something out, and if it doesn’t workout at least you can say you tried it. Same thing goes for trying this out-  CrossFit was so nerve wrecking for me. When I attended my on ramp class I will never forget how nervous I was at the time. I was way out of my comfort zone , but gave it a shot, and four years later im at the box quite often, whether it’s to workout or come and stretch (I usually end up doing the WOD). It’s a great place to come in and clear your mind, focus on yourself, and becoming stronger than you were yesterday.
