HAVE YOU ALWAYS BEEN INTO SPORTS? IF SO WHAT DID YOU PLAY, EVENTS YOU DONE, FITNESS ROUTINES YOU HAVE TRIED?
I have always loved sports. In elementary school I did gymnastics and swam and in junior high I played volleyball. When I got into eighth grade, my mom gave me a choice between either of those or band and I chose band. I continued to exercise at a gym doing fitness classes through high school until I had my first baby. Then, about five years ago I started running and the addiction has evolved from there.
BIGGEST CF ACCOMPLISHMENT?
I would say my biggest CF accomplishment would be mastering Handstand Push-ups. My biggest accomplishment sports wise…..is finishing the half Ironman last April. It was something I felt was impossible, but exciting and I couldn’t resist the challenge of it.
CF GOAL FOR THE FUTURE?
To do most CF movements RX. I want to see what I can push myself to do. Not necessarily how much I can lift, but how strong I can be in general.
FAVORITE PAST TIME?
I love going to sporting events. When I was a kid my dad took me to professional baseball and soccer games. It was amazing walking into those stadiums and feeling the excitement.
FAVORITE CHEAT MEAL?
A really good hamburger and fries.
WHAT WOULD YOU TELL SOMEONE WHO IS SCARED TO TRY CROSS FIT?
You can do this. Try. Give it your best. Trust yourself and your trainer and just be willing to learn. It won’t be long before your body surprises you with what you can do.
