Athlete Highlight: Jordan Kiser

HAVE YOU ALWAYS BEEN INTO SPORTS? IF SO WHAT DID YOU PLAY, EVENTS YOU HAVE DONE, FITNESS ROUTINES YOU HAVE TRIED?

I’ve always like watching sports, but I’ve never been athletic and only played a few seasons of soccer as a kid. Over the past 10 years I’ve tried the whole weight loss gym thing, but I was always lost. I loved lifting weights though.

BIGGEST CF ACCOMPLISHMENT?

 

Definitely making the board with my deadlift. And back squatting 200 lbs

 

CF GOAL FOR THE FUTURE?

Lots of things…becoming a better runner is at the top, but also pull ups. Making the board will always be a goal too.

 Favorite Pastime?

Spending time with people I like, football, and visiting cool places.

FAVORITE CHEAT MEAL?

 

Tough question, but definitely Mexican food and margaritas.

 

 

WHAT WOULD YOU TELL SOMEONE WHO IS SCARED TO TRY CROSSFIT?

I was scared too. As an x-ray tech I’ve seen a good number of people who got hurt doing CrossFit, so I was wary because of that. I was also afraid of not being able to do the workouts because of my size. You just have to give it a chance. The coaches at BCCF are awesome and do everything they can to make sure you’re doing things safely and can modify most of the movements to meet your fitness level. So really there’s no excuse to not try. If I can do it, so can anybody else.
